The Rusk County Treasure Hunters Association was founded by A.D. Clark assisted by Keith Wills in 1991. The club was formed for persons interested in
recreational treasure, amateur
archaeology, recovery of local historical artifacts and fellowship
primarily with the use of metal detectors.
In addition to club treasure hunting activities, members' expertise and service in recovering lost or concealed items are made available to local,historical societies,
archaeologists and assisting law enforcement in recovering items at crime scenes.
The club newsletter, The Leaverite News, is published and sent to current club members, and posted here on our site.
The fiscal year of this organization is from March 1st to the end of February. Yearly membership dues are $25.00 per person (or $35 for husband & wife) - prorated. There is no charge for youths seventeen
or younger with an adult member sponsor.
The Rusk County Treasure Hunters Association meets every month on the second Tuesday of the month. Meetings start at 7:00 PM and are held at the South Main Church of Christ (back parking lot building) 402 S. Main St., Henderson, Texas.
We welcome and encourage visitors to attend and join our active club! Feel free to show up unannounced and discover the benefits of becoming a member of our club! We have club outings, seeded club
hunts, parties and lots of activities for the club members enjoyment and chances to win great prizes.
